The Salvagnini is a panel bender that is designed to form panels in a completely automatic manner with extreme flexibility. Due to its pan brake design and CNC controls, the Salvagnini allows us to produce far more complex bends and configurations than would appear possible using conventional methods. The production change-over time is less than 5 minutes which allows us to run in a true JIT environment. The Salvagnini has become a key part of our day to day operations and we now have more than 1,000 parts programmed.

6 Axis Welding Robot
Originally purchased for one specific job, the Fanuc Arc Mate Sr., our six axis welding robot, was quickly recognized for its potential to become part of our day to day operations.

Cost savings benefits:
Increased throughput

Reduced grinding in the workpiece finishing process

A major benefit, however, is the recoverable engineering aspect of the robot; once it is programmed, the job can be repeated the next day, next month or even years later.

Purchased to compliment the Salvagnini, the RAS is a folding system that is designed around pan brake technology and CNC controls. It has a forming capacity of 9 gauge and a form length of 122". It has an integrated sheet support and gauging system that supports the entire part during clamping and folding. This reduces the need for mulitiple operators and material handlings. The production change-over time is less than 5 minutes which allows us to run in a true JIT environment.

Kitamura H400 CNC Horizontal with Pallet System
In the forefront of Decimals machining department are two Kitamura H400 Horizontal machining centers. With their multiple pallet changers and 100 tool bandoliers, these fully automated systems allow us to meet high volume production requirements yet are flexible enough to be used on short run projects. These capabilities allow us to be competitive in the telecommunication and automotive industries. The H400's are supplemented by an array of CNC equipment that allows us to do vertical machining, turning, and centerless grinding.
